Volunteer

Volunteer opportunities:
Please contact Hannah at admin@parkerstreetministries.org or 863.682.4544 if you are interested in volunteering individually or wanting to get a group together for a project.

Academic Enrichment Program – Once a week Tutoring (individual) – Aug through May

  • We ask for a commitment per semester for a reoccurring schedule of tutoring, preferably once a week.
  • Background check and one-time training are required. Trainings are held once a month.
  • The available times to volunteer are: 4:15-6:15pm Monday through Thursday.
  • Responsibilities include: tutoring, homework help, and setting a godly example for the kids.

Summer Camp Program – Once a week Tutoring (individual) – June through Aug

  • We ask for a commitment for a reoccurring schedule of tutoring, preferably once a week.
  • Background check and one-time training are required. Trainings are held once a month.
  • The available times to volunteer are weekdays: June 14-July 9, 1-3pm; and July 19-August 13, 9am-12pm.
  • We also need volunteers to lead extracurricular classes July 19-August 13 from 1-3pm. (Ex: cooking, sewing, etc.)
  • Responsibilities include: tutoring, academic help, and setting a godly example for the kids.

Bible Study Childcare – Once a month (individual) – Ongoing

  • We ask for a commitment per semester for at least once a month.
  • Volunteers are needed on Wednesdays from 6:45-8pm to watch a group of about 15-20 kids ranging from birth to 3rd grade.
  • Background check is required.

Neighborhood Mercy – Improvement Projects (group of 3 or more) – 1x Project

  • Clean up (i.e. trash pickup, lawn care, etc.)
  • Responding to homes with Code Violations (i.e. paint, replace windows/doors, re-roof homes, installing lattice, etc.)

Events (larger groups) – 1x Project

  • Neighborhood Parties (i.e. Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Splash, Fall Family Fun, etc)
  • Gathering toys for the Christmas Store or spearheading a toy drive with your organization.
