Christmas Store 2011

Sunday, November 27th, 2011

Christmas is coming FAST! Plan now for your family’s Christmas with a Parker Street family in mind.

Parker Street Ministries’ Christmas Store:

  • allows parents to purchase new toys for a quarter of their retail cost;
  • serves an impoverished neighborhood where 72% live below the poverty level;
  • enables parents to provide for their children, building dignity not dependence; and
  • served 204 children in 2010, selling 1562 gifts.

This is a great way to say “I care” to these parents and children who have been disproportionately affected by the economy:

  • Generously give new gifts—We hope to serve 300 children;
  • Generously donate funds. We’ll do the shopping;
  • Spread the word to your friends, families, office, etc.

Working together, great things can be accomplished. All donations of toys or funds should be received before December 9. Make checks payable to Parker Street Ministries and write “Christmas Store” in the memo. Mail to Parker Street Ministries, PO Box 433, Lakeland, FL  33802.  Gift donations should be dropped off at 719 N. Massachusetts Avenue in Lakeland.
